The double degree programs offer qualified domestic students the opportunity to receive a bachelor’s degree from both SDJU and one of its partner universities.


The goal of the double degree programs at SDJU is to integrate the strengths of its individual partner university’s degree programs, with curricula implemented by both SDJU and its German ally, into the joint programs. The joint programs constitute the education of the German language and fundamental science and engineering, pursued primarily at SDJU, and the ensuing in-depth professional education at one of its partner universities in Germany. Credits and examinations completed at the partner university in Germany will be recognized by SDJU.


At present the focus of the double degree programs is on intelligent production. Intelligent production is the application of the principles, methods and tools of digitalization, data analysis, automation and machine learning to the manufacture of goods, to make the manufacturing processes more intelligent, high-end, concentrated and clustered, service-oriented, premium, and environmentally friendly. The double degree programs in intelligent production aim to create highly qualified professional talents that are needed in the context of ‘Made in China 2025’ and ‘Industry 4.0’.
