On the morning of March5,2025, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation between USC Marshall School of Business and SDJU took place in Shanghai. Geoffrey Garrett, Dean of USC Marshall School of Business, Peng Ruirui, Deputy Director of SDJU Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and other representatives from both institutions attended the event, witnessing this important milestone in collaboration on international talent cultivation and educational cooperation.
During the signing ceremony, participants also engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as business education innovation, faculty and student exchange programs, and industry-academia-research collaboration. The two institutions signed a strategic framework agreement covering different areas including short-term study programs.
As one of the world’s top business schools, USC Marshall has developed the Global Leadership Program (GLP), which spans over 30 countries. Through overseas internships, corporate visits, and cross-cultural courses, students gain a deep understanding of the global business landscape. USC Marshall also collaborates with multinational corporationstoofferinternationalconsultingprogram, where student teams provide practical solutions to international businesses.
In recent years, SDJU has established a multidimensional international education system integrating overseas internships, credit recognition, and dual-degree programs. Each year, nearly 100 SDJU students participate in international exchange programs at universities worldwide, fostering their development as globally competent professionals in technology and management. In August 2024, 15 SDJU students took partinGLP. During the 10-day program, students were exposed to cutting-edge business theories and practices while enhancing their innovative thinking and cross-cultural communication skills under the guidance of renowned professors. This learning experience not only promoted cultural exchange between China and the U.S. but also provided students with valuable academic and professional development opportunities.
