Visits of 2025 Student Delegation from Wakayama College

On March 18, a 15-member student delegation, the 17th batch from National Institute of Technology (KOSEN), Wakayama College, arrived at our university’s Lin-gang campus, officially commencing a 10-day academic exchange and cultural experience program.

On the morning of March19, our university welcomed the visiting delegation in Meeting Room 230ofAdministration Building in Lin-gang. Office of International Cooperation and ExchangeandSchool of Foreign Languages (SFL) participated in the reception. Professor Zhang Yushuang, SFL Dean, warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed the hope that this exchange would serve as an opportunity to further promote collaboration between the two institutions and deepen cultural and academic exchanges.


Mr. Kyohei Yokota, Wakayama College delegationleader, expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and shared his expectations for the visit. He hoped that both institutions would continue tostrengthencooperation in the future, fostering mutual learning and cultural exchange.


During the meeting, student representatives from our university introduced the educational framework, talent cultivation, and international exchange programs of SDJU. Students who had previously participated in the summer exchange program at Wakayama College shared their experiences and insights, while also presenting the detailed itinerary of this exchange program. The visiting students from Wakayama College introduced themselves and expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming exchange activities.

The visit of Wakayama College student delegation aimed to deepen cultural awareness and academic understanding between faculty and students of both institutions. It served as a bridge to foster cross-cultural exchange and friendship among young Chinese and Japanese students, while also elevating collaboration in academic discussions, joint research, and other areas to new heights. Since 1999, the two institutions have been working together for 26 years, jointly implementing a variety of enriching programs, including Chinese language teaching internships, student exchange visits, and online forums. Looking ahead, both sides aspire to further promote Sino-Japanese cultural exchange and strengthen lasting friendships among their faculty and students.

Wakayama College is dedicated to cultivating outstanding engineers with strong educational and professional expertise. Established in 1964 as a Japanese national college of technology, the institution currently has 5 departments: Intelligent Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Applied Chemistry and Biochemistry, Civil Engineering and Liberal Arts, with a total enrollment of 800 students.
