NYP Delegation Visited SDJU

On December 16, a 20-member delegation from Singapore Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) arrived at our university for a three-day exchange and visit. The visit aimed to strengthen cultural and academic collaboration between the two institutions, providing students with a platform to gain in-depth understanding of Chinese culture and business development.


On the morning of December 16, SDJU hosted a welcome ceremony for the visiting delegation at Meeting Room 230 in Administrative Building of Lin-gang Campus. Vice President Wang Hongzhi, extended a warm welcome to the NYP delegation and expressed his expectations and best wishes for the exchange. Then, both sides introduced their respective institutions, fostering mutual understanding and friendship.

Following the ceremony, the delegation toured SDJU campus, experiencing its beautiful environment and vibrant academic atmosphere. In the afternoon, the students participated in a 3D printing class, where they gained hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the principles and applications of 3D printing.

During the visit, the delegation also delved into Chinese history and culture, experiencing the unique charm of Chinese tradition. They put on traditional Hanfu garment, immersing themselves in the rich heritage of traditional Chinese culture. Additionally, through the Innovation and Management course, they explored innovation concepts, management strategies, and practical case studies, broadening perspectives, stimulating creative thinking, and laying a solid foundation for their future careers.

In addition to campus tours and classroom learning, the delegation visited several renowned enterprises for on-site exploration. Led by Fang Jingyan, Party Secretary and Chairperson of Changning District Returned Overseas Chinese Federation, the students visited the headquarters of Spring Airlines. Through guided tour and exploration, they gained insights into the growth trajectory, operational model, and global potential of this Chinese airline. The following day, the group visited MeetSocial, a leading company specializing in digital marketing and tech service. The visit provided them with valuable exposure to industry trends and developments, offering a firsthand look at the dynamic world of high-tech enterprises.

On the final day of the visit, SDJU Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges presented completion certificates to all students. At the closing ceremony, students shared heartfelt memory and gratitude for the experience. They expressed that the visit not only enriched their knowledge but also served as a meaningful cultural exchange, deepening their understanding and appreciation of China.

The success of the visit reinforced the friendship and partnership between the two institutions and paved the way for future academic exchange and cooperation. Both sides expressed their commitment to maintaining close communication and working together to advance educational development. Additionally, the exchange provided a valuable platform for young people from different cultural backgrounds to learn from each other and grow together, making a positive contribution to international exchange and cooperation.
