On December 14, the founding ceremony of Shanghai Excellence Engineer Training Consortium (SEETC) and the unveiling of the Tongji University Lingang Excellence Engineer Innovation College were grandly held at the Dishui Lake Hall in Lingang Center. The event was attended by prominent officials, including Chen Jinshan, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Lin-gang Special Area (LGSA) and Director of Lin-gang Special Area Administration (LGSAA); Yang Zhengwei, member of LGSA Party Working Committee andLGSAAExecutive Deputy Director; Zhou Yaming, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanghai Education and Health Work Committee (SEHWC) and Director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (SMEC); as well as leaders from 10 universities, including Shanghai DianJi University, Tongji University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, East China Normal University, East China University of Science and Technology, Donghua University, Shanghai University,University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), and Shanghai University of Engineering Science. Deputy Secretary of CPC SDJU Committee Zhu Hongchun represented our university at the ceremony.
SEETC was established with 10 universities, including Tongji University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and others. The consortium aims to create a comprehensive, multi-level platform for the training of excellence engineers through resource integration and collaborative cooperation. This initiative will promote the sharing of academic resources and collaborative innovation among these universities, as well as drive the joint efforts in education and industry to cultivate excellence engineers. Leveraging the platform’s advantages, SDJU School of Excellence Engineers (SEE) will work closely with other universities to deepen the sharing and collaborative innovation of academic resources. In its future development, SEE will actively organize city-level joint education and industry actions to promote strong connections and deep integration with top-tier enterprises and universities. The goal is to cultivate more excellence engineers who meet the needs of the new era, have international competitiveness, and contribute to the transformation and upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry and the building of a technologically strong nation.
