Recently, SDJU Heavy Thermal Manufacturing Analysis and Testing Center, led by the School of Materials Science and Engineering, successfully passed the qualification and conformity assessment of China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and obtained the national accredited laboratory CNAS certificate. The CNAS certificate signifies that our university’s analysis and testing center complies with the international standard in quality management system, software and hardware facilities, management level, and detection technical capabilities, and is capable of providing compliant, precise, and internationally authoritative and credible tests.
SDJU Heavy Thermal Manufacturing Analysis and Testing Center relies on the Shanghai Engineering Research Center for Heavy Thermal Manufacturing and Shanghai Collaborative Innovation Center for Heavy Casting and Forging Manufacturing Technology. After nearly two years of preparation, the center submitted its review application to CNAS in January 2024 and underwent a three-day site review by CNAS expert panel in July. The panel highly praised work of the center, recognizing its high standards and strong capabilities in quality system operation and laboratory management, meeting the requirements of the CNAS accreditation system. After obtaining the CNAS accredited laboratory certification, the center will focus on SDJU disciplines and majors, target the technological development of Lin-gang Special Area, serve materials testing, continuously improve its inspection and testing capabilities, and provide technical support for SDJU scientific research and enterprise technology upgrades.
CNAS is currently the only and most authoritative laboratory accreditation body in China, with the longest certification review process and the highest level of difficulty for certification. It is an internationally recognized certification body. Laboratories accredited by CNAS can issue data and reports within their accredited testing capabilities, bearing the CNAS national laboratory accreditation mark and the joint mark of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). These reports are internationally recognized across numerous countries and regions, providing globally acknowledged authority and credibility.
