Recently, the National Finals for CUBEC (China University Business Elite Challenge) Brand Planning Competition, i.e. (Singapore) Global Brand Planning Competition (GBPC) China Regional Selection were successfully held. This year, over 7,000 teams from more than 600 universities across 30 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China participated in the competition. Nearly 100 of these universities were from China’s prestigious double world-class project, 211 project, or 985 project. After evaluation by experts, 2,573 teams advanced to the national finals. Among them, SDJU’s “Azure Star” team, guided by teacher Zhao Nan from the School of Business, made it to the global competition after winning in the national contest. The team consisted of five students: Zhang Jiawen, Lu Di, Zhou Ying, Fan Zhiyin, and Zheng Jianing.
On July 21, Global Brand Planning Competition 2024 was concluded successfully at Singapore Management University. Over 150 teachers and students from 17 universities and 21 teams from countries and regions including Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Bangladesh competed fiercely in the event. SDJU’s “Azure Star” team impressed the judges with their project titled Business Plan for Shanghai Xingxin Intelligent Technology, winning the prestigious Global Gold Award. This achievement marked the best result SDJU has ever attained in this competition.
CUBEC is one of the most comprehensive competitions in the field of higher business education in China. It covers all professional disciplines, fosters deep cooperation between universities and enterprises, and promotes extensive international exchange. The competition has been included in the National University Subject Competition List.
CUBEC 2024 is co-hosted by the Global Chinese Marketing Federation (GCMF), the Commercial Sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Commercial Chamber of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), the China Commercial Culture Association of China, The Commerce Economy Association of China, and the China Trade News. CCPIT Commercial Sub-council, established in 1988, has long been committed to the development of trade and economic talent, and over the years, it has successfully organized CUBEC 12 times, making CUBEC an essential exchange platform connecting domestic and international brands.
