In recent years, our university has focused on comprehensive reforms in higher education, building an undergraduate core curriculum system guided by new teaching concepts and methods, in accordance with the requirements of the municipal key course construction initiative. SDJU aims to cultivate industry-ready, excellent on-site engineers by offering courses that address critical talent shortages. The integration of industry-education courses enhances students’ ability to solve real-world industry problems, while AI-empowered course reforms strengthen students’ digital application skills and literacy. Additionally, practical and experimental courses, alongside innovation and entrepreneurship courses, enhance students’ hands-on abilities. Over the past three years, our university has successfully secured 43 core courses at the municipal level.

Moving forward, SDJU will continue to strengthen the construction of a course system that integrates core courses, specialized courses, and micro-courses, with the goal of nurturing students’ core abilities and professional skills. Our university will continually optimize and restructure the content of course instruction, advancing digital-empowered education reforms, enhancing classroom teaching, and improving the quality of key course construction, all in service of cultivating excellent on-site engineers.
