On March 29, the Center for Educational Technology and Resource Development of the Ministry of Education (National Center for Educational Technology) announced the list of universities and teams for virtual simulation teaching innovation laboratory for higher education, and a total of 375 teaching teams from 173 higher education institutes nationwide were selected. The SDJU project of “Multi-context Intelligent Building Virtual Simulation Laboratory” was approved. This marked another breakthrough in the construction of virtual simulation experimental teaching in our university.
Since the Ministry of Education launched the accreditation of national first-class undergraduate courses in 2019, our university has continued to strengthen the cultivation of virtual simulation experimental teaching courses, and has been approved for one national first-class undergraduate course on virtual simulation experimental teaching and five first-class undergraduate courses in Shanghai.
The approval of the national virtual simulation teaching innovation laboratory projects marks an important progress made by SDJU in promoting education informatization and innovative teaching mode. For the next step, our university will further strengthen the construction of virtual simulation experimental teaching from the aspects of teaching resources and platform construction, strengthen the application and promotion of the existing virtual simulation experimental teaching courses, and give play to the unique role of virtual simulation experimental teaching in the cultivation of outstanding field engineers.
