Recently, SDJU received the list of 2023 Shanghai Oriental Talent Program (SOTP). Prof. Wen Chuanbo from the School of Electrical Engineering (SEE) was selected for the “2023 SOTP Top-notch Project”, Prof. Ji Wenbin from the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) was chosen for the “2023 SOTP Teacher Project”, and Associate Prof. Lin Siqi from SMSE (School of Materials Science and Engineering) was designated for the “2023 SOTP Youth Project”.
Wen Chuanbo is a professor and deputy dean of SDJU SEE, with research interests in intelligent operation and maintenance of complex equipment, multi-source information fusion, and artificial intelligence. He has led 3 projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, 4 projects at provincial and ministerial levels. He has also received 3 scientific and technological awards at the provincial and ministerial levels, obtained 5 invention patents, and authored more than 30 papers as the first/corresponding author in domestic and international journals, including IEEE TSMC: Systems, Information Fusion, Aerospace Science and Technology, etc.
Ji Wenbin is a professor and vice dean of SDJU SAS. He has completed his postdoctoral research at the Chinese Language and Literature Postdoctoral Station of Fudan University, and the Philosophy Postdoctoral Station of Shanghai Normal University. He is mainly engaged in the research of ancient Chinese literature and philosophy, and international Chinese education. He was awarded the second prize of Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award, the first prize of Teaching Contest for Junior Teachers of Shanghai Universities, the second prize of Teaching Innovation Competition Shanghai Colleges and University Teachers, and Distinguished Teacher of Shanghai. He has led construction of three municipal-level courses, and lectured the MOOC course Classical Literature and Poetry Life, which has reached over 100 colleges and universities in 19 provinces and municipalities across China. He has been a featured host on Radio Shanghai “Voice of Yangtze River Delta” for an extended period, focusing on traditional culture programs. He has published two monographs, undertaken more than 10 projects funded by National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC), participated in one key planning project of the 12th Five-Year Plan regarding rationalization and publication of national ancient books, and co-authored The Complete Works of Gu Yanwu, which won the Third China Governmental Prize of Publishing.
Lin Siqi is SMSE associate professor and Master’s student advisor., She is mainly engaged in the research on thermoelectric energy conversion materials, including the semiconductor materials, thermoelectric transport properties, and electroacoustic interaction mechanism. She has led the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General Program, Youth Program, China Postdoctoral Program, etc. She has been selected for Shanghai Science and Technology Star Program, “Chen Guang” Program of Shanghai Education Commission, and Super Postdoctoral Program. As the first or corresponding author, she has published high-level academic papers in journals such as Nat. Commun, Joule, Mater. Today, Adv. Sci, and Chem. Mater and others. She has applied for 6 national invention patents and guided students to win 4 university-level scientific and technological innovation.

SOTP Teacher Program aims to select and train innovative teachers who are engaged in front-line teaching for the long term, promote active innovation in teaching methods and methods, and continuously improve the quality of education and teaching.
