SDJU’s 23rd Club Culture Festival and Mental Health Season Kick Off

    On March 29th with spring in full swing, SDJU hosted a vibrant “Youth Bazaar” themed on “Club activity, connecting you and me” to delve into and implement President Xi’s Thought on Culture  as well as to comprehensively implement the spirit of the 20th Party Congress and General Secretary Xi’s important thoughts on youth work. The event was jointly organized by SDJU CCYL and Office of Student as part of 23rd Club Culture Festival and Mental Health Season. Over 60 clubs showcased their talents, with more than 400 students actively participating, drawing thousands of teachers and students to engage in a diverse range of activities.

    The central stage in  constantly host lively performances, creating an extraordinary atmosphere. The Chinese Music Club, RMC Hip-Hop Club, Rice Shop  Music Club, OTTK Animation Club and SDJU Troupe brought a feast for the audience, conveying the vigor and energy of youth. As a newly established club, Chinese Music Club performed for the first time on the stage, and the song Take a word presented a multi-dimensional showcase of ethnic music culture, which captivated the audience with its auditory beauty, visual appeal and emotional impact.

At the club bazaar booths, traditional Chinese culture clubs were particularly eye-catching, engaging in activities such as handicrafts, dragon boat rowing, martial arts performances, Hanfu (Han-style clothing) show, calligraphy, painting and so on. Participating clubs include Dye Club, SDJU Martial Arts Club, Dragon Boat Club, Chess Club, Lanting Painting and Calligraphy Club, Yunyong Hanfu Club, Moon River Poetry Club, etc, which adhere to the aspiration of inheriting excellent Chinese culture. They showcased their skills on site, demonstrating and conveying the unique charm of excellent traditional Chinese culture.


    These clubs  displayed their full repertoire of skills, dazzling students with their impressive performances. From ideological and political education, S&T innovation, mental health, dynamic dance, fantastic magic shows, to arts and sports, everything was so captivating that students were reluctant to leave, thoroughly enjoying the visual feast. Teachers and students wandered around the market, deeply immersed in the experiences, collecting stamps and unlocking new skills, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

    One student admitted in 2023, whose family name is Cheng, smiled and said, There's such a diverse range of clubs, and the atmosphere is so lively and cheerful. Many of my classmates prepared and participated multiple challenges and experiential activities. We collected participation stamps and got many souvenirs. It's really a particularly joyful and rewarding experience!

    The diverse range of activities served as an important platform to enrich students' extracurricular lives, providing a stage for various cultural exchanges and collisions. It also contributed to the comprehensive development of students in moral, intellectual, physical, artistic, and labor aspects, showcasing the nurturing of culture, practice, and psychology. Under the strong leadership of SDJU Party Committee, Office of Student Affairs and the CCYL will continue to focus on the fundamental task of cultivating virtue and nurturing talents. They will fully leverage the powerful function of gathering young teachers and students and promoting campus culture, actively organizing healthy, uplifting, and diverse club activities. These activities are certain to provide students with a broad space for self-education, self-development, and self-growth, shaping club construction into a beautiful card that showcases SDJU’s excellent campus culture and the charm of young students.
