Analysis
Recently, Zhang Jian, a graduate student in SEM (School of Mechanical Engineering) associate professor Zhang Wang’s team, published a significant academic paper in the international renowned journal Engineering Failure Analysis. The paper titled Fracture Analysis of Stainless Steel Universal Joints in Power Grid Equipment: A Comparative Study of Cast and Forged Structures was a collaborative achievement by SDJU, Shanghai Maritime University (SMU) and State Grid Shanghai Electric Power Research Institute, with Zhan Jian as the first author, SDJU as first author affiliation, associate prof, Zhang and SMU associate prof. Guo Yanbing as correspondence authors together. The paper conducted research on the failure of dynamic components, unveiled failure mechanism inherent in such components, and proposed a non-destructive assessment method for dynamic structures in service. Engineering Failure Analysis stands as a top journal on Q2 of CAS JCR, with a current impact factor of 4.0. It mainly focuses on analysis and study of engineering failures to help reduce failure incidence and extend the service life of engineering materials.
