30/10/2023

On October 7 and 8, the 6th EAI 6GN 2023 International Conference, sponsored by European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) and hosted by SDJU School of Electronics and Information Engineering (SEIE), was successfully held at Lin-gang campus. The event brought together renowned experts and scholars from across the globe to engage in in-depth discussions and exchange on the latest research findings and cutting-edge technologies in the domains of 6G communication and network, intelligent system, and artificial intelligence techny. The conference was hosted by SEIE Dean Cai Cheng.

At the opening ceremony, SDJU Vice President Yang Junjie delivered a speech on behalf of SDJU, congratulating on the successful initiation of conference, extending a warm welcome and appreciation to the domestic and overseas attendees. Vice president Yang also briefly introduced our university.

EAI conference manager Marica Scevlikova briefed the background and evolution of EAI, and warmly welcomed all participants.

During the conference, Cesar Briso, professor of telecommunication at Technical University of Madrid (UPM), Spain, delivered an online keynote speech titled A Connected Sky: 6G Communications for UAVs. In this speech, he delved into the latest research in the design and development of wireless communications for transportation systems. Prof. Chen Peng, an IEEE senior member from Southeast University, gave a keynote speech on Efficient DOA Estimation Method for Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces Aided UAV Swarm, explaining the efficient DOA method for reconfigurable intelligent surface aided UAV swarms. Prof. Li Jingchao, Vice Dean of SEIE, gave a keynote speech on Physical Layer Authentication Method for the Internet of Things Based on Radio Frequency Signal Gene Characteristics, sharing the physical layer authentication method for the Internet of Things based on radio frequency signal gene characteristics.

The conference further organized 10 engaging seminars, featuring a series of reports and discussions spanning a wide array of topics such as intelligent systems, big data mining, D2D communication, security and privacy for 6G networks, artificial intelligent techniques for 6G networks, power and energy systems and so on.

The EAI 6GN International Conference was founded by EAI Technical Committee, and has, in recent years, evolved into an important annual event in the field of international communication and signal processing. Aligning with the trend of educational globalization and the strategy to elevate quality of higher education and enhance educational exchange among B&R countries emphasized in the 14th Five-Year Plan and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035, our university has been actively pursuing international academic collaboration and building an open and high-quality education system. In the future, SDJU will continue to deepen innovation and development, strengthen communication, adhere to mutual learning and appreciation, further improve SDJU’s academic level, and nurture a more favorable academic environment on campus.
