In order to further improve the ability of teachers and students to discern and avoid telecom and online frauds, effectively protect their interests, raise their awareness of fraud prevention, enhance their fraud prevention ability, and comprehensively build a safe, civilized, stable and harmonious campus, on April 28, under the guidance of Lin-gang Special Area Youth League Working Committee and Lin-gang Special Area Public Security Office, SDJU CCYL, SDJU Security Office and several campus fraud prevention partnering units organized an anti-telecom and online fraud teach-in themed Guarding Youthful Campus, Creating Fraud Free Campus in the Half Moon Square of SDJU Lin-gang Campus.
The activity attracted many students to actively participate and they readily signed on the signature wall, promising to fight against and prevent fraud, and joint hands in building a fraud free campus.
Police officers and volunteer students acted as publicists, distributed self-designed anti-fraud leaflets, and debunked common fraud tricks.
During the teach-in, students found interesting anti-fraud balloon and dart game. Each balloon pierced by a dart contained an anti-fraud question, and those who correctly answered it would be rewarded a beautiful gift.
During this activity, an anti-telecom-and-online fraud club was established. Experienced club leader led candidates in interviews, and aimed to fully harness the potential of young students in self-management and self-education. By constant innovative activities, the infiltration of frauds to campus could be better prevented and curbed.
Staying vigilant can help people stay away from the harm of fraud. This activity enhanced the understanding of teachers and students regarding the usual tricks and schemes of telecom and online frauds, and effectively improved their awareness in fraud prevention. In the future, SDJU will strengthen related publicity and education of fraud prevention to all corners of the campus. New forms of publicity would be emphasized and the effectiveness of anti-fraud efforts would be valued to boost immunity and resistance of teachers and students to prevent telecom and online frauds.
