In order to lift team morale, and boost members’ sense of honor, sense of belonging and sense of mission, SDJU Baja Team held the 2023 Send-off and Flag Presenting Ceremony in the Automotive Laboratory (Baja Science and Innovation Studio) on the afternoon of May 12, 2023. Yang Wanfeng, SDJU Vice President, Fu Xiaogang, Director of SDJU Industrial Technology Center (Education Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship), and Liu Jun, Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering (SME) (Lin-gang Special Area Industrial School of Intelligent Manufacturing) attended ceremony. Other attendees include advisors Ruan Guanqiang, Cheng Jinrun and Yang Qingliang, SME counselors and all 2023 Baja Team members, and the ceremony was presided over by Dean Liu Jun.
At the beginning, Ruan Guanqiang introduced SDJU Baja Team regarding its building, development and achievements. Team leader Zhang Zechuan gave a detailed introduction to the technical details in innovative aspects and challenges of car design from chassis, suspension and transmission and so on. Team member Tao Yufeng mainly talked team operation, including member recruitment, training and sponsorship. Vice President Yang Wanfeng expressed his acknowledgement of all the hard works of teachers and students involved in the preparation of this competition. At the same time, he encouraged all participating students to face hardships head-on, brave challenges, stay calm, maintain a balanced mindset lightheartedly, value team spirit, try their best, and compete with style. Then he wished them all the best and encourage them to demonstrate SDJU spirit.
Vice President Yang presented SDJU flag to advisor Cheng Jinrun, and Director Fu Xiaogang presented team flag to team leader Zhang Zechuan, and then a photo of all attendees was taken. Afterwards, visitors of the Baja Science and Innovation Studio expressed their recognitions and ardent expectations. The SDJU Baja Team was sure to strive wholeheartedly for its goal!
