From May 20 to 22, 2023, the 29th National Academic Conference for Engineering Thermophysics of Higher Education, jointly organized by the Engineering Thermophysics Committee (ETC) of China Association of Higher Education (CAHE) and China University of Petroleum, was held in Qingdao, China. More than 800 experts, scholars, teachers and students from 145 universities and research institutes across China attended the conference to exchange and discuss the latest research progress and educational reform in the field of Engineering Thermophysics. The third meeting of ETC’s 14th Committee was held on the evening of May 19, and 6 universities, including Shanghai DianJi University, Hunan University of Technology, Yunnan Agricultural University, Henan Polytechnic University, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology and Shaoyang University, were co-opted as the standing members of CAHE ETC, and SDJU Prof. Dai Yuanjun from Department of Intelligent Manufacturing, School of Mechanical Engineering, was elected ETC director.
ETC is the oldest academic committee of CAHE, and mainly focuses on scientific research, academic and teaching exchange and ETC involved research areas expanded from thermal engineering and internal combustion engine to other fields such as chemical industry, agriculture, environmental protection, construction, artificial climate, light industry, textile, aerospace, military science, fire science, etc.
Joining ETC is conducive to strengthening scientific research, academic and teaching exchanges of our university with peers of power engineering of energy and power category.
