A few days ago, leaders of Business, Bureau of Cultural and Sports Tourism (BCST) of Lin-gang Special Area Administration (LGSAA), together with SDJU President Gong Siyi and Vice President Wang Zhiheng, conducted an on-site inspection of SDJU university library.A clear consensus on fully leveraging university potentials, better serving the construction of the Lin-gang Special Area, actively exploring the cooperation mechanism between LGSAA and local universities, and expanding resource sharing and integration was reached.
Under the guidance of university leaders, SDJU library has given full play to its functions of serving society and facilitating regional economic development.Regarding resources open to public, staffing, technical support, and so on, SDJU library conducted multiple rounds of discussion, contacted, and communicated with related parties such as BCST, SDJU Information Technology Center, and Security Office for support, and a series of tasks from open resources, procedures, implementation rules, and promotion were efficiently completed. And on this basis, The Detailed Rules of Open Services of SDJU Library to Lin-gang Special Area was introduced.
The release of these rules not only stands out an important step of SDJU library’s active implementation of the strategic cooperation between LGSAA with universities, an operable strive to refine the blueprint into practice, but also marks the debut of Lin-gang university libraries’ openness to the public!
As the first of its kind in Lin-gang open to public, SDJU library has attracted wide attention and active participation immediately after books, electronic resources, and study and discussion space were made available.SDJU library will also strive to implement its Lin-gang oriented development path of openness and industry-education integration, and actively provide cultural services.
