In order to further establish advanced models, advocate charity for selfless dedication and lifesaving, as well as promote socialism spiritual civilization, CMDP (China Marrow Donor Program) Shanghai Branchcommended and awarded honorary titles to exemplary groups, individuals, and special supporters of Shanghai’s hematopoietic stem cell donation in 2022. Our university won the “2022 Advanced Group for the Recruitment of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation Volunteers”, and teacher Yang Pengfei won the “2022 Advanced Individual Award for Hematopoietic Stem Cell Work”.
Hematopoietic stem cell donationis a noble cause for the benefit of leukemia patients. Since 1992, Red Cross Society of China Shanghai Branchtook the lead in carrying out unrelated hematopoietic stem cell donation in the whole country. In recent years, our university has stepped up effort to facilitate CMDP in blood collection and storage by recruiting volunteers willing to donate hematopoietic stem cells.In 2022, blood samples of 249 SDJUers were successfully collected and stored. SDJU youths ignite hope of life with love and inject strength of youth with sacrifice. SDJU studentscarry forward the Red Cross spirit of “humanity, fraternity, and dedication” with practical actions, and set off a wave of “extending life with love” on campus.
