In recent years, artificial intelligence technology represented by deep learning has developed rapidly, becoming a pioneer of a new generation of technological revolution and playing an ever-increasingly pivotal role in digital transformation. However, existing deep learning methods are troubled by technical problems such as strong data dependence, serious overparameterization, single learning task, and poor adaptability.
At present, China is facing the new situation of “three-phase superposition”, in which the phase of rapid development of emerging technologies, the phase of high-quality economic and social development, and the phase of profound adjustment in international order in particular the Sino-US relationship overlap at the same time. Thus, focusing on cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology, this report first introduces, from theoretical and technological angles, findings of our team in recent years in knowledge-guided key technology of artificial intelligence and other researches, as well as the industry-university-research work in intelligent robots, and then moves on to the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence and robots under digital transformation. This report will also exchange thoughts on artificial intelligence education and integration of industry and education.
About the speaker：
Zhang Wenqiang, researcher and doctoral supervisor of School of Computer Science of Fudan University, deputy dean of the Academy of Intelligent Robot of Fudan University, deputy director of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Intelligent Information Processing. At present, he is deputy director of Intelligent Robot Committee of China Computer Federation, director of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, director of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, and the chief consultant of Shanghai Youth Academy of Sciences. He has long been engaged in production, education and research in robotics, artificial intelligence, intelligent equipment, etc. In recent years, he has published more than 150 papers (more than 50 on top conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, AAAI and top journals like TIP), and applied for more than 50 national patents for invention. He has won many awards such as the special prize of China International Industry Fair. He has successively carried out “2030 New Generation Artificial Intelligence” major project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, National Natural Science Foundation project, and science and technology major project of Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, etc. He published a lot of original research findings with independent intellectual property rights, and developed 7 generations of intelligent service robots such as Autonomous Mental Development Robot - Fudan I.
