Outstanding Achievement in “600 LIGHT YEAR” the 15th SPSCECER

With the results of 2022 “600 LIGHT YEAR” the 15th National University Student Social Practice and Science Competition on Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction (SPSCECER) released recently, two entries by SDJU students were honored with national third prizes.

 


Directed by the National Advisory Committee on Energy and Power Majors in Higher Education under the Ministry of Education and organized by SPSCECER Committee, SPSCECER specializes on extracurricular S&T works and social practice of college students. The competition meets up China’s major national strategic requirements, such as carbon neutrality and peak carbon dioxide emission, features its quintessence of proactive energy saving and emission reduction, practical innovation and collaborative education, and embodies its values of lighting up life and blooming the colors of life. Thanks to MOE support and active cooperation of universities, it has become a high-level, top notch and influential nationwide activity for university students.

From its start, SDJU actively encouraged students to participate. In mid-May, School of Electrical Engineering invited outside experts to examine candidate works and recommended 15 as entries. After online application, preliminary evaluation and expert review, the Committee announced the final results. Optimized Energy-Saving Design of Intelligent Patrol Robots in the Photovoltaic Charging Transformer Substation by Qin Ruibin et aland Assisting Carbon Neutrality---MPPT Energy Storing Device Based on Particle Swarm Optimizationby Zheng Xubin et al, were awarded with national third prizes.
