Recently, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (SMEC) released the appraisal result of 2020-2021 information disclosure among Shanghai universities and SDJU achieved its debut honor as an outstanding unit.
This appraisal revolved around ground work, proactive information disclosure, application-based disclosure, convenience service and online interaction, as well as disclosure related functions and support. After self-examination, SMEC invited experts to set out online review and delegated a third-party professional agency to independently review each indicator. The final result came out after finishing all the above evaluations.
Information disclosure not only meets up the requirements of law-based university running and modern university building but also makes up an important factor of improving university management and capacities. Thus, it exerts profound influence on strengthening university management, improving law-based university running and pushing forward overall education reform.
SDJU has given high priority to information disclosure, conformed to requirements of Ministry of Education and SMEC, and committed to the principles of justice, fairness, convenience, immediateness, security and accuracy. Directed by related authorities and led by its CPC Committee Office and President’s Office, SDJU strives to improve information disclosure mechanism, enhance its transparency and ensure public and staff and students’ right to know, participate and oversee by embracing key tasks to deepen reform and optimize connotative development. In doing so, law-based school running has been lifted, with specific measures listed as follows: Firstly, to raise awareness and organizational leadership. That is to list information disclosure as one of daily administrational priorities to form an effective mechanism led by CPC Committee Office, directed by President’s Office and coordinated by various departments. Secondly, to prioritize key information and specify information for disclosure. Key info. related to SDJU internal affairs, or involving significant interests of faculty and students, or requiring their wide acquaintance or participation needs to be proactively disclosed and accepts stricter supervision. Thirdly, to improve and expand info. disclosure channels as well as enrich forms and contents for disclosure. On the basis of SDJU portal, OA system and other means and in line with the calls of the new era and new reality, SDJU strives to improve platforms such as special information disclosure website, WeChat official account and so forth, concentrating on forging a new model of info. disclosure.
From now on, SDJU will further institutionalize info. disclosure and push it to a new level. (President’s Office)
