On February 26th, with the theme of “AI Developers, ushering in the Era of Digital Transformation”, WAIC 2022 Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Developer Conference (AIDC) directed by WAIC organizing Committee and co-organized by several entities, including SDJU, was held in T3 Conference Center of Chuangjing Technology Center in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. More than 80 students and teachers from SDJU School of Electronics and Information Engineering (SEIE) participated on-site or on-campus by streaming.
The conference aims to help the construction of the Shanghai AI highland, and effectively address the real needs of AI developers by complying with Shanghai’s digital transformation strategy. Professor Cai Cheng, Dean of SDJU SEIE, hosted a roundtable dialogue on “How to train more new generation developers for Lin-gang”. Prof. Cai pointed out that rooted in Lin-gang, SDJU is dedicated to serving Lin-gang industry with its newly approved undergraduate major of “Artificial Intelligence”. At present, SDJU is actively building a municipal key school for the modern industry --Lin-gang Special Area Industrial School of Intelligent Manufacturing, and vigorously cultivating other industrial schools for smart chip and system, and aerospace. In the future, SDJU hopes to further develop in-depth Industry-University-Research cooperation with Lin-gang enterprises in the fields of intelligent manufacturing, integrated circuits, and aerospace, and jointly cultivate AI talents closely aligned with the industrial needs.
