On the afternoon of December 17th, SDJU Winter Long-distance Race to embrace 2022 kicked off on Lin-gang campus. Over 500 students from different SDJU schools participated either the campus race (3000 meters) or the jogging, fully demonstrating their fearless and uplifting spirits.
Before the race, Chen Zhibo, Coach of SDJU Track-and-Field Team and his team members, helped participants warm up thoroughly, and then Yang Wanfeng, Vice President of SDJU, declared open the race. After tight competition, Liu Huilai from School of Materials Science and Engineering, Wang Fuyu from School of Business, Zhang Song from School of Mechanical Engineering won the top three places of male group. Yang Jingting and Zeng Xiaoni from School of Business, Zhang Jia from School of Mechanical Engineering shared the top three prizes of female group.
Winter long-distance race stands as a traditional SDJU sports activity, and it’s the last activity of 2021 SDJU Sport Festival. For years, SDJU has followed official guidance including Master Plan for Healthy China 2030, Master Plan to Build a Leading Sports Nation, and “Sunny Sports” Layout of Ministry of Education, and formed an excellent campus atmosphere of upholding and partaking fitness, and pursuing physical well-being by active participation of secondary schools and proper arrangement of Physical Education Department.
