Recently, list of 2021 Shanghai Shuguang Program has been unveiled, and Professor Jin Min has been selected, marking the first time of SDJU’s approval into the program.
Professor Jin Min has long been engaged in the research and industrialization of advanced materials. His research fields include growth, characterization and application of scintillation crystals, thermoelectric crystals, piezoelectric and ferroelectric crystals. At present, he is mainly committed to the growth and application of various new semiconductor functional crystals. Professor Jin has successively directed or participated in more than 20 national or provincial (municipal) scientific research projects, published more than 50 papers, applied for more than 10 patents, and jointly published one monograph. Also, he has developed a multi crucible GaAs preparation method that has independent intellectual property rights in terms of industrialization, and it broke the foreign technical monopoly and shaped the Chinese brand of GaAs crystal growth technology.
Shuguang Program aims to, via supporting scientific research projects, build teams of college teachers with good ideological and political quality, teachers’ morality and style, strong professional ability, high scientific research level and academic influence. It is jointly managed and implemented by SMEC and SEDF. The sponsored are university teachers with high degree, high professional title and high quality under the age of 40.
