The recent Notice on Approved List of the First Batch Municipal Key Construction Projects for Modern Industrial Collegesjointly issued by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization short-listed 18 projects, comprising 14 construction projects and 4 cultivation projects, to explore to facilitate construction of modern industrial colleges. Industrial School of Intelligent Manufacturing in Lin-gang Special Area led by SDJU was selected as a construction project.
With School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Li Bin Technician School respectively co-built with Lin-gang Special Area Administration and Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. as the cornerstone, and depending on our own intelligent manufacturing major cluster, including mechanical design & manufacturing, automation, intelligent manufacturing engineering as the mainstay, SDJU aims to joins hands with four leading intelligent manufacturing enterprises in Lin-gang, namely, Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd., Shanghai Manufacturing Innovation Center of Intelligent Manufacturing Systems Co., Ltd., Shanghai Zhifeng Robot Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai CPS-Solution Intelligent System Co., Ltd. with a view to integrating industry with education and talent-cultivation, and cooperating thoroughly in building Industrial School of Intelligent Manufacturing in Lin-gang Special Area. During the process, leadership and management of this School will be pragmatically strengthened to guarantee the funding and implementation of other required conditions.
Embarking on the new period of the 14th Five-Year Plan, SDJU strives to promote industrial school, advance development of new engineering and deepen the integration of education with industry as a way to create new accessible model for application-oriented university and provide stronger pillar for regional economic construction and growth. To this end, SDJU will inaugurate several modern industrial schools in a well-arranged manner, organically bridge industry chain, innovation chain, education chain as well as talent chain, and remove obstacles amid talent cultivation and demand of modern industry, thus forging a batch of pilot enmity for talent cultivation whose functions feature talent training, scientific research, technological innovation, enterprise service and graduate entrepreneurship.
