From August 13th to 15th, 2021 pulled the curtain of “Zhaoyi Innovation Cup” 16th China Graduate Electronics Design Competition (CGEDC). After intense contentions, The Research on Defect Detection System of Steam Turbine Blade Based onMachine Vision by Yu Hanlin, Qi Jinbo and Guo Yuwei under the direction of Liu Jun won the National First Prize and Double-Invertor Opening Winding BLDC Driving System for Electric Vehicles by Pang Liang, Duan Yubin and Lu Hailing and instructed by Wang Yin won the National Third Prize.

CGEDC, as one of the largest in scale and most influential in competitions of China graduate innovative practice, has operated for 25 years since the joint launch by Tsinghua University and Chinese Institute of Electronics in 1996. This year, a total of 5120 teams from 254 colleges and institutes in 8 regional contest areas signed up and participated, and 427 teams were qualified for the national final after preliminaries.
With a great emphasis on cultivating graduates’ innovative ability, SDJU has forged all-round on-campus cultivation and incubation platform for competition, committed to fostering graduates’ innovative and practical ability by reforming cultivation model and introducing incentive measures, such as setting up Scientific Research and Innovation Prize. SDJU recommended 19 teams to CGEDC (Shanghai), winning 6 First Prizes, 3 Second Prizes and 7 Third Prizes, with 2 teams admitted to national contest and won prizes. Besides, 6 teachers, including Liu Jun and Wang Yin, were awarded Excellent Adviser, and SDJU was granted Excellent Organization Award of Shanghai Area.
