China College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CCSIIEC), as China’s top level, most authoritative and most influential innovative and entrepreneurial gathering, attracted thousands of participants from hundreds of colleges and universities in Shanghai ensuing its launch in April this year. Its affiliated 7th Shanghai College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (SCSIIEC), after rounds of amazing demos and fierce contests ended online on July 28th. After school-level primary contest, municipal-level semi-final and final, SDJU students demonstrated their projects against terms from “985” and “211” universities in Shanghai. The Guosheng Technology—Cost-efficient Solution for Ceramics Connection from the School of Materials Science and Engineering won the Gold Medal in the competition, making SDJU gold prize winner for two years in a row.
SDJU always attaches great importance to innovation and entrepreneurship education and continues to deepen “Training of Talents” program. Based on directive team of discipline competition and acting in the principle of “One Brand for One School”, SDJU actively held various discipline competitions on campus so as to stimulate enthusiasm of teachers and students, create a strong atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship and strengthen competitiveness of competition projects, sending a large number of competitors to discipline competitions as a result.
In May, SDJU conducted a series of campus activities, including qualifying tourney for the “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Thanks to active organization of schools and the strong support of the Youth League Committee, SDJU received 620 projects in total and chose, after school recommendation, campus semi-final and final, 13 for the 7th SCSIIEC.
