From April 25th to 29th, the 2021 Chinese University Curling Championship, i.e. the 30th Winter Universiade Curling Trials was held in Harbin Sport University. Seventeen teams from 10 universities, including Peking University, Beijing Sport University, Harbin Institute of Technology and Harbin Sport University, participated in the competition for men’s team and women’s team.The top three teams will be selected as reserve teams and have the opportunity to represent China in the 30th Winter Universiade.
The SDJU men’s and women’s curling teams participated for the first time. Under the leadership of Professor Sun Tianming, our athletes weredaring and courageous in the face of strong opponents. They fought battles with wits and courage andovercame all difficulties in the way, finally winning the third place of men’s team and the fourth place of women’s team after a five-day fierce competition.Lin Linglin, a male athlete, won the Spiritual Civilization Athlete Award. The SDJU men’s curling team had also been selected into the curling preparatory training team of the 30th Winter Universiade.
