Recently, finals of the 1st Shanghai Industrial Robot Technology Application Skill Competition (SIRTASC) (i.e. the 4th National Industrial Robot Technology Application Skill Competition) were held at the Shanghai Electrical Apparatus Research Institute. After fierce competition, Jiang Jiajun from School of Mechanical Engineering (SME) majoring in Mechatronics Engineering, won the third prize and ranked fifth in total.
The competition mainly examines abilities of contestants in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, troubleshooting, six-axis/four-axis robot vision, and PLC system debugging. They must complete multiple tasks within six hours, comprehensively appraised in technical skill of industrial robot and professional quality in the form of theoretical tests and practical operations.
