The SDJU Competition for The 10th China National College Students “Innovation, Originality and Entrepreneurship” Challenge successfully Held

     From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 22, the within-campus competition of the 10th China National College Students “Innovation, Originality and Entrepreneurship” Challenge, held by Technology and Innovation Department of School of Business, was successfully held online.

After preliminary selections, 27 teams made it into the university competition. Mr. Shi Haijie from Shanghai Wushi Education and Technology Co., Ltd. was invited while Gu Lingyan, Zhao Nan, Wang Shuo and Pan Hongmei served as judges, and counselor Li Qing as competition secretary. Sessions include team presentation and defense, each with a time limit of five minutes, with its order predetermined by drawing lots before competition.

In the competition, projects of the 27 teams showed their respective features: the Blissfulness, a Hunan embroidery online promotion project caught the wave of traditional culture; projects like AI Health Cloud Medical Treatment (Cloud-based mobile medical app.), ADS Intelligent Anti-drunk Driving System, Bamboo Dragonfly Delivery, and Personal Carbon Emission Reward Points Mall coincided with AI artificial technology; and some projects are closely related to people’s daily life, such as Home Meal, On The Road (a modern city green transport scenario app.), Cloud Rice (an intelligent food sale system) and so on. Every project had fully shown how college students solved daily problems by technological creativity. Professionals and judges carefully listened to presentations, raised questions and shed some light on what to do next, and offered precious suggestions to help perfect them.

The online selective competition displayed ideas of contemporary college students about innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity, among which, some were pretty mature and excellent. For participants, it was a valuable chance to learn from each other. Out of the joint efforts of teachers, students and departments, “Innovation, Originality and Entrepreneurship” Challenge campus competition successfully ended.
