To further implement the guidance of Artificial Intelligence Innovation Action Plan for Institutions of Higher Learning by Ministry of Education (MoE) and contribute to course construction and application of AI major in Institutions of Higher Learning, the Alliance of Emerging Engineering for Information Education (AEEE) and Intel launched Program for Experiment Teaching of AI Courses in April 2020.
SDJU actively responded to AEEE initiative by organizing and submitting applications. After comprehensive assessment by panel of AEEE and Intel, 25 courses from universities like Shanghai Dianji University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Nankai University, Dalian University of Technology, China Agriculture University, Northeastern University and Zhengzhou University were selected for 2020 Program for Experiment Teaching of AI Courses. The course Robot Learning by SDJU Professor Cai Cheng was chosen, and Professor Cai to take part in the Intel teaching training in May 2020 by AEEE sponsorship.
Relying on the AEEE program mentioned above, we will make progress in further integration of AI research and industry, thus promoting the establishment of discipline clusters on smart manufacturing.
