SDJU Invited to the 6th China Ningbo-CEEC Educational Cooperation Conference and joined "The Belt and Road" Alliance of Engineering Colleges


 On October 10, the opening ceremony of the 6th China Ningbo-CEEC Educational Cooperation Conference, hosted by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, organized by the People’s Government of Ningbo Municipality and Department of Education of Zhejiang Province, was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang. Yang Junjie, SDJU vice-president was invited to make presence.


 During the conference, the “The Belt and Road” (B&T) Alliance of Engineering Colleges was also established. Yang, on behalf of SDJU, attended the Inaugural Conference of “The Belt and Road” Alliance of Engineering Colleges- Innovation and Cooperation Forum of B&R Engineering Colleges, and SDJU was elected the standing member on the conference.


 In response to the China’s B&T initiative, the Alliance commits itself to uniting excellent technological and engineering universities in B&T countries to set up an international cooperative and open platform for students, teachers, engineers and entrepreneurs to open and share the engineering, economic and educational information of these countries, and devotes to communication and cultivation of international engineering talents.


 Nearly 200 domestic and foreign guests from Tianjing University, Chang’an University, Taiyuan University of Technology, Jilin University, Dalian University of Technology, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd., Ningbo Construction Group, Ningbo CRRC New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., the Saints Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje of Northern Macedonia, the University of Žilina from the Slovak Republic, Higher School of Transport in Sofia from Bulgaria, Moscow State University of Technology and Management from Russia, Ukraine National Academy of Sciences and so on, attended the Inaugural Conference and Cooperation Forum.


 The B&R Alliance of Engineering Colleges was launched by Ningbo Education Bureau and Ningbo University of Technology under the guidance of China Education Association for International Exchange. With 55 Chinese and 20 B&R foreign institutes joining, the Alliance basically covers all types of engineering colleges in China and B&R countries.


 On October 11, the Alliance also held round table forums for student cultivation and technological cooperation in areas of mechanical engineering (automobile engineering), civil and traffic engineering and materials and chemical engineering in Ningbo University of Technology. Six teachers from SDJU School of Electronic Information Engineering, School of Materials Science and School of Mechanical Engineering attended these forums.
