Abstract:
OUR ORIGINAL ASPIRATION was written by more than 20 excellent Shanghai Pingtan Troupe (SPT) members as a whole; it must be declared, with no doubt, as the most popular of all medium-length works created by SPT.
With all respect for the most holy doctrine of facility of expression, our production tells the touching story of Zhang Renya as a CPC member and his father, who always keep in mind their original aspiration, which has occasioned the accomplishment of the mission of safeguarding a Chinese version of ‘Manifesto of the Communist Party’, a pamphlet written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in 1848.
