Zhong Hai Yu, male, born in December 1958, Doctor of Management, Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering in Shanghai Dianji University (SDJU). He served as dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, president assistant of SDJU and head of priority majors recommended by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. Currently he holds the position of Secretary-General of the Shanghai Mechanical Engineering Society. His main research interests are smart manufacturing technology, heavy castings and forging manufacturing technology and robotics.
He has been granted more than 40 funds from National Science and Technology Major Projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program) and corporate technology development projects. The research funds appropriated to SDJU amount to more than 20 million yuan. He published over 40 academic papers and more than 30 patents were granted under his name. He won 1 first class prize and 2 second class prizes of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress, 1 innovation award of China International Industry Fair, 1 Shanghai Industry-University-Research Collaboration Outstanding Project Award. He is also a winner of a Special Contribution Award of SDJU and an Excellence in Teaching Award of SDJU.
