SDJU Automation Team awarded Prize for Excellence in Innovation

On December 29th, the 2nd China Innovation Challenge (Shanghai) live was held in the Nanjiao Hotel in Fengxian District. Before the event, centering on advanced smart manufacturing, new materials, and electronic communications, SDJU organized all its Schools to actively submit project applications and selection. The technical proposal on Smart Fruit Sorting and Coding Lines from the SDJU Automation Team, with Bing Feng Qian as its leader, stood out through online interviewing and was invited to participate in the offline roadshow challenge. The Team’s solution eventually defeated competitors from Shanghai Normal University, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Suzhou Fuyuanyingshuo Information Technology, and was awarded the Prize for Excellence in Innovation.

 

With the Ministry of Science and Technology as the guiding unit, this competition was hosted by the Torch Center of Ministry of Science and Technology, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education and the People's Government of Fengxian District and sponsored by the East Center of National Technology Transfer, the Science and Technology Committee of Fengxian District, and 114 innovation platform of industry-university-research institute collaboration. Since its launch in October, the competition has collected 206 technical needs, in total, from enterprises in Shanghai. A total of 14 science and technology service organizations have actively taken part in the event. They organized 38, either online or offline, technology-exchanging meetings, which attracted 156 challengers from domestic universities, research institutes and enterprise, and 6 challengers from abroad.
