Professor Bernard Hon is a professor of manufacturing systems in the University of Liverpool. He has been involved with research in manufacturing engineering and related areas for years, and has rich experience in directing and managing large-scale projects. Professor Hon has published more than 120 scientific papers and three books, and holds 2 patents. Apart from UK, he serves as an international research assessor/reviewer to China, USA, Switzerland, etc. national funding bodies and government agencies. He was elected as a Fellow of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP) in 2001 representing the UK.
