The 11th annual 'Innovation Cup' came to an end in Shanghai Ocean University today. Six groups of SDJU, majoring in mechanics, automobile and material, joined the great contest. With comprehensive preparation, all the contestants of SDJU manipulated their operational apparatus on the scene and participated in the defense. As a result, we won second prize for a machine that separates plates, bowls, chopsticks and spoons, and third prize for the research and design of an automobile controlled by electromagnetic forces induced by the super-capacity.

'Innovation Cup' is hosted jointly by Municipal Education Commission and the Innovation Committee of Shanghai. The contest takes place in one of the universities in Shanghai every year. The purpose of the contest is to stimulate the innovation consciousness inside university students, and to provide a platform for the application of inter-disciplinary principles to practice. To be honest, the contestants of SDJU learnt a lot through the processes of project design, program argument, connection to factories, manufacture and manipulation.
