Bing Feng Qian wins second prize in Engineering Application Technology Contest

From December 15th to December 17th, the 3rd National College and University Engineering Application Technology Contest for Teachers, hosted by China Association of Higher Education and sponsored by Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University and Harbin Institute of Technology, was held in Zhejiang University. 7 teachers from our university participated in the preliminaries for 5 different events, of which 4 got through, becoming finalists. Bing Feng Qian from the School of Mechanical Engineering won second prize for the Industrial Robotics and Machine Vision Application Technology event. The other three teachers, Dong Wei Wang and Li Ying Ma from Industrial Technology Center, and Chu Qiao Jiang from the School of Electronic and Information Engineering all got a Finalist Prize. In addition, SDJU won the Outstanding Organizer Award.



This contest aims to implement the strategic thinking of "speeding up the building of first-class universities and first-class disciplines and realizing the connotative development of higher education" put forward at the 19th National Congress of the CPC to enhance the international competitiveness of engineering education in our country and enhance the teachers' professional ability in practice. The contest has 5 major themes, 15 competitions, and a total of 386 teachers registered as competitors. After the preliminary round, 196 of them from different colleges and universities (including 17 "211 Project" or "985 Project" colleges and universities, 4 military academies, 72 general undergraduate institutions) entered into the finals.
